There are many ways you can get involved at Gateway Housing First. Whether you want to spread the word, donate household items, give financially, or volunteer, we would love to connect with you! If there is something not mentioned that you’d like to contribute, reach out to email@example.com.
Direct Financial Support
Your financial contributions go a long way to helping our tenants succeed in housing. A tax-deductible donation helps to subsidize rent and utility assistance to tenants who need it most and provides for round-the-clock support services for our most vulnerable tenants to ensure housing success. Due to COVID-19, we are limiting in-person visitors in our housing communities. However, keep up with our volunteer requests on STL Volunteer, United Way’s volunteer portal, here. We are currently asking for both child and adult-sized masks for our tenants!
In-Kind Donation Support
When tenants move in to one of our properties, we work with partner agencies to assist individuals with receiving donated furniture and household items. These items can provide a sense of ownership and stability to help tenants make their spaces home. In response to COVID-19, many of these partner agencies are closed, yet we are still moving tenants into housing. Your donations will help our tenants transition into independent housing. Donations requested include: Air mattresses, shower curtains, trash cans, paper products (plates, cups, silverware, toilet paper, paper towels), bath towels and wash cloths, bedding of all sizes, pillows, and hygiene products. To contact us about arranging a donation drop-off, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
