Mission + Vision
The mission of Gateway Housing First, Inc. is to provide safe, high-quality, affordable, supportive housing to individuals and families challenged by a wide range of disabilities, complex disorders and life situations who are often impacted by chronic homelessness, generational poverty, trauma and systemic racism.

- Housing is healthcare. Affordable housing is an essential component of an effective healthcare delivery system.
- Housing is a human right. All people have a right to choose where and how they live, including obtaining a lease in their name with all the rights and responsibilities of tenancy.
- One-size fits all housing doesn’t work. We strive to offer an array of housing choices, so we never have to say, “we don’t have housing that works for you.”
- Housing is Equity. We must act urgently to combat race and disability discrimination that continue to prevent equitable access to housing and healthcare.

- Housing First ends homelessness while saving money! Housing plus services costs 50% less than emergency and crisis responses to homelessness.
